We can advise you on the best ways to try and resolve your commercial disputes without having to resort to arbitration, thus saving time and costs and often preserving important commercial relationships and market reputation. Yet, when arbitration proceedings are unavoidable, we can handle your dispute, whether you are claiming or defending.
During his time in-house, Luca worked on a significant number of arbitrations under different rules, including LMAA, LCIA, SCMA, ICC and ad hoc, in shipping (MOAs disputes and several claims under various forms of charter parties, including safe berth, demurrage and bunker quality), commodity trading (cargo quality and quantity disputes, force majeure) and energy (claims under joint operating agreements, including investor state disputes before ICSID).
Luca has a growing arbitration practice and regularly receives requests for appointment, also as a sole arbitrator. Luca sits on the panel of arbitrators of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration, the Swiss Arbitration Centre (Alternative Dispute Resolution for Commodity Trading, Shipping and Finance), the Lewiatan Court of Arbitration in Poland, the Asian International Arbitration Centre in Malaysia and the National Arbitration and Mediation in the US and is open for appointments under the rules of the London Maritime Arbitration Association, the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and the Camera di Commercio di Milano, among others.
